The Sioux Falls Area Joint Fugitive Task Force(SFAJFTF) is comprised of the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office, the Sioux Falls Police Department, and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
The mission of the SFAJFTF is to pursue and arrest persons who have active state and federal warrants filed against them, primarily focusing on crimes of violence and gang related crimes. The intent is to remove dangerous fugitives from the streets, thereby improving public safety. The SFAJFTF also assists other agencies around the United States in located and apprehending fugitives who have fled their jurisdictions and entered the State of South Dakota.
