Since 1976, the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office has provided security contract services for the South Dakota Air National Guard facility in Sioux Falls. The patrol division, with an authorized strength of 1 Division Supervisor, 4 Shift Supervisors, 7 law enforcement certified Security Officers, and 2 Security Officers, is staffed by highly professional individuals.
The duties of these deputies include security and resource protection; control of entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and equipment; perimeter security; prevention of sabotage and theft; searches of persons and property within jurisdictional limitations; and other duties as assigned. This professionalism ensures the highest level of security for the Guard facility.
