Since 1976, the Minnehaha County Sheriff’s Office has provided security contract services for the South Dakota Air National Guard facility. The section has an authorized strength of 1 Division Supervisor, 4 Shift Supervisors, 7 law enforcement certified Security Officers, and 4 Security Officers. Duties include security and resource protection; control of entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and equipment; perimeter security; prevention of sabotage and theft; searches of persons and property within jurisdictional limitations; and other duties as assigned.
